Principles

Know Your Vowels

A = ATTITUDE
Always bring positive energy to the field, the game, and your teammates. (the same is expected from parents and fans) We are here to support the growth and development of each other. Negativity toward teammates or dissent toward coaches or officials will not be accepted at any time. Attitude is within our control.

E = EFFORT
Give your best and work hard, regardless of the scoreboard. The work we put in today is building toward our success tomorrow. Playing soccer (like many activities) means practicing, and practicing means being better today than you were yesterday. Do the work—no excuses, no explanations.

I = INTENTION
Do everything with purpose—on and off the field. Our decisions and actions impact the world around us. Make decisions that will positively impact your teammates, practices, and games. Intentions matter, make them good ones.

O = ORGANIZATION
Always be prepared. Being prepared means being ready: being ready to play; being ready to practice; being ready to work; being ready to contribute; being ready to support; being ready to learn. Being ready also means doing what you are supposed to do, when you are supposed to do it.

U = UNITY
Soccer is a team sport. One player cannot win a game, and one player cannot lose a game. Everyone needs help and support. Win or lose, we work together to achieve our common goals.

“You win by effort, by commitment, by ambition, by quality, by expressing yourself individually, but in the team context.” — Jose Mourinho
